METRO Bus

Houston METRO has an expansive, heavily used bus system—in fact, the most used bus system in the entire Southwest. Service runs on city streets, stopping at every other corner along its route and includes the HOV/Park and Ride System, which features stations alongside freeways and is used heavily during peak times. Prior to the METRORail train, METRO consisted of the largest all-bus fleet in the United States since Houston was the largest major city without any rail transit since 1990.
