Post Rice Lofts and Sambuca
The Post Rice Lofts are located in the former Rice Hotel, a historic building at 909 Texas Avenue constructed in 1912 on the site of the former Capitol building of the Republic of Texas. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Rice Hotel was one of the most glamorous, sought-after destinations in Houston, hosting luminaries from all over the world and several U.S. Presidents. Known as the site of one of President John F. Kennedy’s final speeches the day before his death in 1963, the hotel was renovated in 1998 and turned into apartments after years of disuse. An icon in the city, Rice Lofts long has been a place for the who’s who so it has a romantic heart as big as Texas and an undeniably relevant elegance for today. The upscale Sambuca restaurant is located in The Rice Lofts, offering great food and live music every night of the week. The ultimate supper club, Sambuca features a plush interior and elegant design that make for an amazing location for enjoying a drink inside or outside on the patio with the locals.
