John P. McGovern Playground

This John P. McGovern Playground at Discovery Green is a whimsical play structure carved into a tree-shaded hill. Shielding youngsters from the surrounding streets, the playground is themed around being a major migratory flyway for birds that pass over Houston. Some species of these birds are represented in the playsets, which also include signs to educate visitors.
