Cameron Pocket Park [Demolished]
Now demolished, Cameron Pocket Park was located at the intersection of Milam and Capitol Streets next to the Houston Club Building. The little park offered murals, a waterfall and other subtle delights. Wrought-iron chairs let world-weary visitors and regular downtown denizens sit and enjoy a large mural commissioned by Chase and created by Houston artist Suzanne E. Sellers as a representation of Houston’s architectural history and diversity. The mural was called “Muted Hues of Houston.” The park and the mural were demolished in 2015.
