WWII Aircraft Fly-In and Open House
Held at Hangar B-5 of the West Houston Airport, the Commemorative Air Force’s Houston Wing presents its Open House and WWII Aircraft Fly-In and Display with the big, old airplanes and they mighty round engines. Visitors get up close, feel the prop wash and hear the noises as radial engines power these WWII aircraft while admiring some of the old planes their fathers, grandfathers or grandmothers learned to fly in World War II. In addition to see the amazing aircraft and witnessing flyovers throughout the day, visitors can talk to the pilots who flew them then and fly them now and then tour the hangar museum, which is open for tours.
