Blaffer Art Museum

Located in the Arts District of the University of Houston campus, Blaffer Art Museum is the university’s visual arts and contemporary culture laboratory that provides a prime exhibition space for emerging and underrepresented artists. Since 1973, the museum has presented more than 250 exhibitions focusing on art from the past 100 years and its impact on today’s art, culture and intellect. The Blaffer’s annual schedule includes major traveling exhibitions that are relevant to Houston audiences, mid-size retrospectives of national and international artists, exhibitions of regional artists, thematic surveys that place artwork in new contexts and special projects by local artists.
