St. Patrick's Day Parade
Historically one of the largest in the country, Houston’s two-hour St. Patrick’s Day Parade travels through the street of Downtown Houston each year with more than 100 parade participants that delight the Irish and Irish-at-heart. A Houston tradition rooted firmly in the city’s heritage that dates as far back as the late 1800s, the parade celebrates with bagpipers, floats, color guards, hundreds of costumed marchers and dancers executing some traditional jigs. Beginning at the clock tower at Minute Made Park and finishing in front of Lucky’s Pub on Rusk and ST. Emanuel, the parade culminated in awards and a huge party.
