Downtown Rodeo Parade

Since 1938, the city is transformed every February from a bustling metropolis to a down-home Western heritage celebration. Thousands of spectators come to line the downtown streets and sidewalks as hundreds of trail riders, decorated floats and marching bands follow a traditional route to kick off the start of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Many of the trail riders ride for weeks prior to the parade to in the hotget to Houston and be a part of this special event.
