Livestock Show - Market Steers Competition

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo draws thousands of Texas 4-H and FFA student exhibitors to the Main Arena at NRG Park to compete for prizes and pride by showcasing various species of livestock they have raised in hopes of taking home high premiums and the coveted title of Houston Champion in the Junior Market Show. Student exhibitors between the ages of 9 and 18 work for months to prepare for competitions like Market Steers, in which champion steers within each breed travel to NRG Stadium for the “Championship Drive” at which the Grand Champion Steer is selected in front of thousands of fans.
