Nathelyne Archie Kennedy Architecture and Art Building

Located at Prairie View A&M University , the Nathelyne Archie Kennedy Architecture and Art Building honors alumna Nathelyne Archie Kennedy (Class of 1959), the first black woman in Texas to graduate with a degree in architectural engineering and become a licensed professional engineer. The building houses bachelors and masters degree programs in architecture, art, community development and construction science. Kennedy is founder, president and CEO of engineering consulting firm Nathelyne A. Kennedy and Associates. The School of Architecture moved into the building in 2005.
