Sky Ride Gondola at the Carnival

An experience far beyond its name, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, or Rodeo Houston, is the world’s largest live entertainment and livestock exhibition and so much more. The city’s “signature event,” the festivities would never be complete without the massive carnival that is set up every year in the NRG Park parking lots, offering a variety of rides and activities for all ages as well as all the best carnival foods, like caramel apples, funnel cakes and cotton candy. The vast carnival at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo can seem challenging to traverse. That’s why the best way to get to the other side is the Sky Ride gondola. This 1,700-foot ride stretches from Kids Country to the other side of the festival near the NRG Stadium, where guests find the nightly rodeo and concert events. At heights up to 58 feet in the air, riders get quick transportation and amazing views of Houston and the fairgrounds.
