Maravilloso! 2015: DRENCH by Karen Stokes Dance

Maravilloso is a contemporary two-day circus and dance event featuring talent from Houston and all over the world. Making its U.S. debut at Discovery Green, renowned Belgian and Dutch company Chanson d’Eau brought installation and performance art to Kinder Lake. The Water Festival are mechanical flowers large enough to hold a dancer and able to float on water. During live performances, the flowers open to reveal dancers inside each blossom.moving to original, ethereal electronic music. The festival also included a new commissioned dance performance celebrating water, called "DRENCH," by Karen Stokes Dance.
