Pennzoil Place
Pennzoil Place is a pair of 36-story office buildings located at 711 Louisiana Street and 700 Milam Street in downtown. Opened in 1975, it was designed by renowned architects Phillip Johnson and John Burgee, and is considered one of the best examples of the "Postmodern" style of building architecture. The unique trapezoidal silhouette shape of its twin towers (which appear as one tower) makes it a recognizable structure in Houston's Central Business District. The entire street-level plaza joining the two structures is enclosed in a glass pyramid-shaped atrium.
