Hilton Americas

Conveniently located across the street from Discovery Green in the heart of Downtown Houston, Hilton Americas is a large convention hotel connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center via two indoor skywalks. Opened in 2003, the 23-story modern hotel boasts the city’s largest column-free ballroom while its exterior’s combination of geometric shapes, bold shapes and colors provide inspiration for its interior design. The vast user-friendly lobby level is divided into themed areas, including a striking rotunda that features a tri-color, basket-weave, mosaic-style marble floor cornered by four red, floor-to-ceiling marble pillars and illuminated by a spectacular custom-made Venetian-glass chandelier. A water wall cascading over glass separates the main lobby from the lounge, which serves as the economic link between North and South America, symbolized as such by a large custom-made, abstract mural of the world with Houston as the central bridge between the two Americas.
