Bull Riding

Although one of the few rodeo sports that didn’t develop from a task or skill required on a ranch in the old days, bull riding has become one of the most popular due to the exhilaration of trying to tame an animal as large and dominating as a bull. With the bull doing anything in its power to try and buck the rider off, the cowboy can only use his one hand to hold on with the goal of staying on the bull for a full eight seconds to even warrant a score, which is determined by how much the bull bucks and how the cowboy dominated and controlled the animal.
