Barrel Racing

Popular at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, barrel racing is a rodeo event testing the skills of a horse and rider to complete a clover-leaf pattern around barrels in the fastest time. Primarily an event for women, it combines the horse’s athletic ability and the rider’s horsemanship skills to safely and successfully complete the task.
