Known as the most expensive neighborhood in Houston and one of the richest ZIP codes in America, River Oaks is home to some of the largest mansions in Texas. Located inside the 610 Loop less than seven miles from Downtown Houston, River Oaks real estate comes with a hefty price tag but gives residents easy access to downtown, the Texas Medical Center and the Galleria area. Although there are a few homes in the $1-million range, most of the residences are worth more than $5 million with some selling for as much as $20 million.
