Downtown Aquarium

Created from the redevelopment of Fire Station No. 1 and the Central Waterworks Building—two Downtown Houston landmarks—the stunning six-acre Downtown Aquarium is an entertainment and dining complex that features a 500,000-gallon aquatic wonderland with more than 200 species of aquatic life. A popular attraction for locals and visitors alike, the Downtown Aquarium offers a full-service restaurant, an upscale bar, private event space, aquatic and geographic exhibits, shopping and amusements that include the Diving Bell Ferris wheel, a carousel and the Shark Voyage train ride.
