John P. McGovern Texas Medical Center Commons

Located at the heart of the Texas Medical Center, the John P. McGovern Texas Medical Center Commons is known for its two dramatic, towering six-story, 60-foot cascading water walls. When designing the facility, which is mainly a parking garage, architects focused on making it aesthetically compatible with neighboring buildings, so it looks nothing like its function; behind the water wall exterior sit various amenities designed to make the Commons a place where people can meet, eat, shop, bank and park.
