Spotts Park
Although among the smallest parks in Houston at just about 16 acres, Spotts Park is unique in that it has a hill in the otherwise flat bayou topography of the city. Built like a bowl, the park’s northwest edge leads down from Waugh Drive at street level down 100 feet. Exercise enthusiasts and daring kids love the mini-hill that sits in the shadows of Downtown Houston and offers a great view of the city’s skyline. Separated from the Buffalo Bayou by Memorial Drive, Spotts Park features an active basketball court, tennis courts, a playground area and several large clusters of crepe myrtle trees.
