Christ Church Cathedral

Founded in 1839, Christ Church Cathedral was Houston’s first religious congregation and still uses the same historic building that was constructed more than 170 years ago. Early on, Christ Church Cathedral opened its doors and services to those of other religious faiths, helping them forge a sense of community with other believers. Today, the cathedral hosts several religious-themed events, including its popular Diocesan Choral Festival, which features choirs from across the diocese.
