Rainforest Pyramids at Moody Gardens

An educational tourist destination, Moody Gardens uses nature to educate and excite visitors about conservation and wildlife. Opened in 1986, Moody Gardens encompasses three main pyramid attractions. The Aquarium Pyramid is home to one of the largest collections of fish and other marine animals in the region. The Rainforest Pyramid contains tropical plants, animals, birds, butterflies, reptiles and other rainforest animal,s including free-roaming monkeys and two-toed sloths. The Discovery Pyramid focuses on science-oriented exhibits and activities. Other major attractions at Moody Gardens are Palm Beach, a landscaped white-sand beach with freshwater lagoons, a lazy river, tower slides and splash pad for children; the RideFilm Theater, a paddlewheel cruise boat; and a hotel, golf course and convention center.
